I grew up in deep south Texas in what is known as the Rio Grande Valley, more specifically, Weslaco, TX. I have lived in Houston, TX off and on throughout my childhood and permanently moved here to attend and eventually graduate from Rice University with a degree in sports medicine. While at Rice, I was fortunate to serve as a Student Athletic Trainer and worked with the Rice Football team, Rice Baseball team, Rice Women's Soccer Team and Rice Women's Track.
I am extremely blessed for my wonderful family. I would not have the opportunities were it not for the love and support of my wonderful wife of 19 years, Melanie Vargas. We have two wonderful boys, ages 17 and 20.
I have helped create two successful agencies; one with Farmers Insurance and the other was an independent firm that at one point was partners with the largest independent auto dealership in the world. I have been fortunate to help many people: first time home buyers, car buyers, business owners as well as those who are seeking help with their policy and looking for a simple solution.
